Top 5 games you've ever played

Feel free to list games from any console of any generation of any system. (ripped this thread off of the movie one in general discussions )

Mine are:

1. Fallout 1&2 (2 was better)
2. Oblivion
3. Half Life 1&2 +expansions
4. Medieval 2: Total War- one of the best strategy games out there
5. Final Fantasy 9 (please don't tell me how much better ff7 is)

Honorable Mention

Psychonauts-probably the most unappreciated games of all time. Great story, original ideas and gameplay, and it's really funny. If you see this game for sale..buy it.

Tough to put only 5 and to put them in order really...

1: Portal (PC... short lifespan but a more amazing, memorable and funny game experience I've not had in a while)
2: Age of Empires II: Age of Kings (PC... spent so many days making levels and playing against AI and players)
3: Oblivion (PC... so moddable, so open-ended, I loved it)
4: Discworld MUD (any platform - Amiga, PC, MAC - that can use a telnet client... my character age in this for my main was 70 days - that's 70 days of non-stop 'live play', and a bunch of toher chars totalling about 40 days... started playing it in the mid to late 90's)
5: UFO: Enemy Unknown (Amiga version... aka XCom to Americans, totally different release name over there. This is the 'best' XCom game there ever was)

Half Life 1 & 2 are just outside... I never had the opportunity to play the Fallouts but I've heard such good things about them I'm really looking forward to the new Fallout due out before too long.

Half Life 2
WoW
Assasins Creed

and i suppose for the longevity of it, and the fact it's the game i've played consistantly for the longest Bushtarion should be on this list.

In no particular order, games I've spent most time on-

Red Alert Counterstrike & Aftermath
Diablo II: Lod
Warcraft III, especially Tower Defences and DoTA; Defence of the Ancients (great multiplayer map/mod).
Age of Empires II & Age of Mythology
Settlers II

I've really enjoyed Assassins' Creed lately, but it's way too short and once you've finished it, well, it's over. I should also mention Street fighter II and Sonic 1 & 3 on the Sega Megadrive.

In no order...

1. Half-life
2. Counter Strike
3. Starcraft
4. Diablo (1,2,LOD)

hats it... Theres ton of insanely good games but none of those have been such revolutionary (for me) as those mentioned have.
I think i need to give 5. to 3 games...
5. Tanarus, Planetarion, Bushtarion
3 games i have spent most time with of all.

In terms of games I probably spent most time on (in no particular order)

Civilisation II
Phantasy star online
Skies of Arcadia
Team Fortress Classic
Goldeneye

Special mentions go to C&C red alert, Final Fantasy VII. Also have to mention Bushtarion and Planetarion - even though they're not video games they sure did use up a lot of my time

I can't really rank them by what I think was the best so instead I am going to rank them by which ones I spent most time one. ( I guess ina way, it shows I like these ones more or they are incredibly addictive :? )

1)M.U.L.E. (2 player/2computer C64 economic strategy)
2)Super Mario Brothers 2 (single player coin operated)
3)HardDriving 2 (single player coin operated driving sim)

1) Battle For Middle Earth (1 not 2). Once you "get it" theres no game more strategic.
2) Super Smash Bros
3) Age of Empires 2
4) Supreme Commander
5) I'm torn between RA2, Total War series, and old school Tie Fighter.

i will not count any MUDS here to show how hip i am lol

too many to list, but these will do,

1) Mines of Titan: good luck finding this, even shareware could not find it

2) UFO Enemy Unknown: if you played this, then you know why. no cash cheat you pansy!

3) Fallout: both one and two. one being the better.

4) Ultima Online: In the begining [first full year] when there were no rules reguarding pvp anyone, anytime, almost anywhere lol.
The best was killing someone, then taking everything he had on his lifeless body ahahahahaaahhhaa, the way a MMORG should be!!! live or lose everything with a swing of a sword

5) random: solaris, any civilization, duke nukem, wolfenstien 3d
